At its core, this is a high-speed tap-fest. Passengers want burgers, trail mix, and lemonade now, and you’ve got about three inches of counter space to deliver. As you progress through flights from Denver to Singapore to foggy London, the meals get fancier, the customers get crankier, and the upgrades get… well, expensive.

There’s a lot to love. The settings are vibrant, the cooking mechanics snappy, and there’s something oddly satisfying about perfectly timing the lemonade pour while trash overflows and someone’s yelling for garlic sauce. The loop is pure chaos, but the kind you settle into like a weird kind of flow state.

But that flow hits turbulence. Gems are borderline essential for progress, and they trickle in like they’re under customs inspection. Upgrades cost a fortune, and souvenir mechanics practically demand you cough up premium currency. Run out of gems and fuel (which refills slower than your average layover), and you’re grounded.

Longtime players are feeling the fatigue. A recent fuel hike and nerfed rewards have made the grind feel steeper than ever, especially for new players. Denver used to be a fun comfort level, now it’s just where you go when you’re too broke to unlock Paris.

To its credit, Airplane Chefs is still one of the most polished and addicting time-management games on mobile. But for all its upgrades and globetrotting flair, it’s the monetization turbulence that might push your patience into a nosedive.

If you’re cool with slow progression, occasional paywalls, and running a one-woman kitchen at altitude, there’s plenty of satisfaction here. Just don’t forget to fasten your seatbelt, and maybe your wallet.
