Snowman’s follow-up to their acclaimed endless snowboarding hit swaps snowy peaks for windswept dunes, layering in just enough new ideas to make the familiar feel fresh again.

You still guide Alto (or one of five unlockable companions) across an endless landscape, chaining backflips, grinds, and wall rides with a simple one-touch control scheme. But now, those combos are framed by shifting biomes, from sun-baked dunes to vine-laced canyons and long-forgotten temples, each with their own visual flair and subtle twists. A sudden sandstorm might blanket your run in sepia haze, while a hot-air balloon drifting overhead dares you to bounce skyward for a riskier grind.

The beauty here isn’t just in the scenery, though the day-night cycle and weather effects often look like living paintings, but in the rhythm. Odyssey rewards both daring stunt chains and moments of stillness, especially in Zen Mode, where the UI fades away and you simply ride. When you’re not evading mischievous lemurs or threading through wind vortexes, you might just find yourself slowing down to admire a shooting star streak across the horizon.

Progression is gentle but deliberate. Unlocking new characters changes the feel of each run, and chasing the elusive wingsuit remains as addictive as ever. Coins come at a trickle, which can frustrate the impatient, but there’s a certain charm in earning every upgrade the long way.
