Burrito Bison is back, baby. And this time, he brought friends, a jetpack, and a vendetta against sentient snack food.

Launcha Libre is the third installment in Juicy Beast’s knockout launcher series, and it’s everything a good launcher game should be: fast, punchy, sugar-high chaos that never loses momentum. You’re flung from the ropes of a wrestling ring like a heat-seeking missile, aimed directly at a technicolor sea of gummies just begging to be pulverized. Combine that with a surprisingly refined upgrade system, explosive minigame-style boosts, and more candy-based chaos than a trick-or-treat bag in a microwave, and it’s easy to see why this game’s been my go-to “just one more run” spiral for weeks.

What sets Burrito Bison apart is how seriously it takes its silliness. You rotate between three playable luchadors, Burrito Bison, Pineapple Spank, and the inimitable El Pollo, each one using the same single-button input in wildly different ways. Whether you’re dive-bombing gummy generals or gliding past pastry patrols, there’s a rhythm to the mayhem that keeps you locked in. Special gummies act like seamless minigames, dodging barrels or launching off boxing-glove pogo sticks without missing a beat.

The real magic, though, is flow. From the mariachi-infused soundtrack to the squish-perfect sound design, every bounce, bash, or burst adds to a satisfying forward push. It’s the kind of game that asks almost nothing from you and gives back a sugar-crusted explosion of joy.

It’s gummy genocide with a grappling hook, and it rules.
