Touring cars bite and brawl like the real thing, Open Wheel feels like a more approachable cousin to Codemasters’ F1 series, and Street racing serves up cramped city sprints without dominating the whole game. Endurance events, Drift challenges, Drag duels, the variety here is as deep as your appetite for podiums.

Progression is refreshingly player-driven. Specialize in one discipline for hours, or hop between categories on a whim, Autosport doesn’t care, as long as you’re racing. The better you perform, the more prestigious the team offers get, with Ravenwest dangling the big XP and tuning freedom if you can handle the pressure.

Not every gear change is smooth. The cabin view’s blurry textures feel last-gen, and the lack of pit stops in endurance races is a baffling omission. But when the lights go green, none of that matters much, especially with Codemasters’ AI delivering tight, believable pack battles that make every overtake feel earned.

For fans craving proper motor racing without the grind of piecemeal DLC, GRID Autosport is a full-throttle return to form. Buy once, race forever, just the way it should be.
