The doors creak. The generator sputters. Your heartbeat thumps louder than the soundtrack. And somewhere out there in the fog, he’s coming for you. Horrorfield doesn’t reinvent the horror wheel, but it doesn’t need to, it straps it to a rusty gurney and spins it anyway.

A mobile spin on the Dead by Daylight formula, Horrorfield pits four survivors against one unstoppable psycho, all trapped in a maze of busted lights and bad decisions. It’s asymmetric multiplayer horror distilled into bite-sized rounds where every second counts. Survivors must repair five randomly placed generators to power the gate and escape, or die screaming in a blood-slicked basement. No pressure.

Where Horrorfield gets interesting is in its character design. Survivors aren’t blank slates, they’re archetypes with real gameplay impact. The Basketball Player runs faster. The Doctor heals. The Engineer fixes things quicker. The Thief hides better. All seven come with perks and progression paths, giving the meta more meat than your average mobile screamfest.

And the psychos? Yeah, they’re terrifying. The Butcher smashes generators. The Ghost walks through walls. The Cultist prays on your pain. Each has a signature hunting style, and they will find you. Leave a footprint trail, and it’s basically signing your own death certificate.

Sure, it’s got grindy progression and a few too many timers, this is a mobile game, after all. But when the heart monitor spikes and you’re one door slam away from salvation, Horrorfield nails that primal thrill. Sometimes, hide-and-seek is better when it ends in a scream.
