Injustice 2

Injustice 2 is a stylish, hard-hitting fighter that lets you pit your favorite DC heroes and villains against each other in 3v3 tag-team battles. Whether you’re looking to crush online opponents or just want to deck out Batman in new gear, this one’s got you covered.

At its core, Injustice 2 builds on everything that made Gods Among Us good and sharpens the mechanics. Movement is faster, combos are deeper, and meter management actually matters now. The “meter burn” button alone adds tons of strategy, you can use it to extend combos, escape juggles, or trigger clash battles mid-fight. It’s easy to pick up, but there’s plenty of room to grow if you’re into labbing 20-hit juggles.

Each of the 30+ characters plays differently. Superman zones. Black Canary rushes. Deadshot spams bullets from across the screen (annoyingly well). You’ll need to learn unique mechanics for each fighter, especially in story mode, which constantly throws new characters at you. That variety is both fun and frustrating, especially when you’re dumped into a fight with someone you’ve never touched before.

The story picks up after Superman’s fall, diving deep into a grim universe where even good guys make bad choices. Brainiac’s arrival forces unlikely alliances, and while the plot isn’t exactly cheerful, it’s well-voiced and surprisingly cinematic. Flash and Green Arrow inject a bit of levity, but it’s mostly gritty and gray, DC style.

Outside the campaign, Multiverse mode steals the spotlight. These rotating single-player challenges throw in unique modifiers and reward gear with real stat boosts. That gear system is huge. You can deck out your heroes in legendary sets that tweak everything from projectile sizes to starting with extra meter. It’s all cosmetic in ranked PvP, but in casual or solo play, it adds meaningful depth.

The downside? Loot boxes. You can’t buy them directly with cash, but the random drop system still feels hit or miss. Earning gear for characters you never play can be a little demotivating.

Still, between the polished visuals, deep mechanics, and mountains of content, Injustice 2 is a standout in the genre. Whether you’re here for Batman’s combos or Supergirl’s heat vision, this game packs a serious punch.
