Magic Rampage feels like someone discovered a lost SNES cartridge, injected it with caffeine, and dared it to be an action-RPG. The result? A frantic side‑scrolling carnival of monsters, secrets, and “oh-no-how-did-I-miss-that-room” regret.

You start by choosing a class, Mage, Warrior, Rogue, Paladin, and more, each with their own combo attacks and shooting style. Then you’re dropped straight into a dungeon without so much as a warm‑up stretch. Left, right, jump, shoot. Five projectiles, then a cooldown. Line up a headshot and enemies pop like pixel piñatas. It’s simple, until it suddenly isn’t.

Magic Rampage ricochets from idea to idea, never letting a dungeon mechanic get old. One level introduces collapsing floors. The next hides a secret path behind a fake wall you’d swear was the wall. Every dungeon has three diamonds to collect and multiple secrets tucked away like 90’s-era cheat codes. Finding them requires equal parts curiosity and stubbornness.

Between battles, you wander into the shop to buy gear, or to argue with a salesman who acts like he’d rather be anywhere else. Then there’s the literal skill tree. Yes. A tree. That you talk to. I both groaned and cackled.

Magic Rampage isn’t satisfied with just being a campaign game. There’s Survival mode (fight until you drop), Competitive mode (race another player’s ghost through a dungeon), Weekly Dungeons with leaderboards, and even a social Tavern where players hang out mid-rampage. Somehow, none of this feels bloated.

And, miraculously, monetization doesn’t smother the fun. Ads and in‑app purchases exist, but gold flows fast enough that you never feel coerced.

Magic Rampage fires on every cylinder, from snappy combat to dungeon secrets to a surprisingly robust competitive scene.
