Melon Sandbox

Melon Playground doesn’t ask why. It just hands you a blowtorch and politely steps aside. This ragdoll-fueled sandbox is a physics experiment gone beautifully off the rails, a digital toybox where every object is a weapon and every moment is an invitation to create (or destroy) something hilarious, horrible, or both.

There’s no story, no structure, and absolutely no morality. Just you, a playground, and a whole buffet of ways to brutalize unsuspecting mannequins. Whether you’re strapping explosives to a ragdoll’s face or building an absurd domino line of flamethrowers, Melon Playground encourages one thing: escalation.

Its tactile joy comes from how everything reacts just wrong enough to be funny. Ragdolls crumple with slapstick perfection, and your arsenal, guns, grenades, vehicles, medieval maces, you name it, feeds into an endless feedback loop of chaos. It’s Half-Life 2’s gravity gun with fewer ethics and more duct tape.

There’s no goal here, but there doesn’t need to be. Melon Playground is digital mischief incarnate. It’s the kind of game that reminds you why sandbox games exist in the first place, to let you ask “what if?” and answer with fire.
