Join mo.co. Kill monsters. Look good doing it.
That’s the pitch, and honestly? It kinda rules.
Supercell’s latest experiment, mo.co, trades the trophy-chasing, PvP chaos of Clash Royale and Brawl Stars for a different kind of chaos: interdimensional monsters showing up uninvited and wrecking the place. As a newly recruited “hunter,” you and 20-ish other players dive into bright, semi-open worlds and bash every bug-eyed beast in sight, all while wearing your finest flamingo-print battle armor, of course.
Think Diablo, but dipped in bubblegum. And also built to be played during your lunch break.
mo.co is at its best when you’re bouncing between random world events with friends, chasing down boss spawns, or coordinating wild build combos in Rifts (tight 4-player raids that’ll slap your whole team if you don’t pay attention). Its action feels great in the hands, seriously, these touch controls are buttery smooth, and the loop is addictive: kill monster → earn Chaos Cores → level up your gear (randomly!) → do it again, but shinier.
The structure is beautifully bite-sized. Jump in, clean up a few corrupted bears, bail out to swap gear or hop into PvP, no commitment required. PvP is surprisingly fair, too, with gear levels capped and balanced so nobody steamrolls because they paid for neon pants. Nice.
That said, mo.co has its rough spots. Early progression lacks direction, matchmaking with randoms is like herding caffeinated cats, and deeper customization suffers from its simple, no-stat gear system. Oh, and don’t expect rich storytelling, you’re here to vibe, not cry.
Worse, fashion is locked behind a gacha-style cosmetic store. No, you can’t buy power. Yes, you can drop real money and still end up with a skin for a character you don’t use. It’s cosmetic chaos, fitting, but still annoying.
But despite those speed bumps, mo.co is fun. Not “change your life” fun, but “oops, I just played for two hours instead of making lunch” fun. If Supercell can keep the drip of new content flowing and resist messing up the monetization, this monster-hunting side gig might just become your next main hustle.
mo.co is weird, stylish, and easy to love, even if it’s a little light on brains behind the brawn.
