One State RP

One State RP is a game that asks a simple question: what happens when you throw 500 real people into a digital city and tell them they can be whoever they want?

The answer, it turns out, is everything. And also nothing. And then, quite suddenly, a car chase.

My time in One State RP started, like many real lives do, on a cheap motorcycle, tailpipe rattling as I wheezed through a version of Los Angeles not built for tourists, but for trying. The game doesn’t funnel you into heroism or horror, it shrugs, hands you a job board, and asks: “Well, who are you then?”

I drove taxis, badly. I applied for the police, got ignored. Tried the military, got rejected. Joined a stranger’s car hoping for friendship, got ghosted. Bought a gun, got shot at anyway. And still, something kept pulling me back.

Maybe it’s the voice chat, bursting with real conversations and awkward silences. Maybe it’s the events, like the Harbor missions, chaotic and crammed with fifty real players who don’t play nice. Maybe it’s just the sheer density of life here, messy, unpredictable, oddly touching.

There’s no main quest. No winning. Only the city, pulsing with possibility and consequence. You might leave with a business. Or a beat-up car. Or a story you didn’t expect to tell.

Or, like me, you’ll leave whispering, “Don’t touch my car.” And know exactly what you mean.
