You play a hydrojet rider exiled from the clean-cut Riptide league after getting stitched up in a sting. Naturally, you do what any reasonable future criminal would: grab your machine, rally your crew, and start ripping donuts in a flooded metropolis until someone gives you your crown back. Career mode is a juicy ride through neon-lit waterways and bombed-out battlegrounds, complete with boss fights, stunts-for-boost systems, and enough secret paths to keep explorers busy for hours.

But this isn’t just a solo splash fest. Renegade shines in multiplayer mayhem, both online with up to eight racers and local split-screen that somehow doesn’t fry your Android. The boost-fueled freestyle events encourage trick spam, but clever scoring forces variety. Plus, the transforming water physics make every wave feel just unpredictable enough to matter.

Yeah, the frame rate dips in handheld mode like your rider hitting choppy surf, but it’s never enough to sink the fun.
