Solar Smash

Solar Smash asks one simple question: What if you had a death ray, unlimited power, and no moral compass? And then it hands you Cthulhu in a UFO and lets you blow up Neptune.

This is less a game and more a cosmic tantrum simulator. You load into space, pick a planet (Earth, Mars, or one of its sci-fi cousins), and proceed to obliterate it using a buffet of ridiculous weapons. Missiles? Sure. Black holes? Of course. Laser swords, space battleships, orbital ion cannons, and an adorable Shiba Inu in a mech suit? All present and accounted for.

There are two main modes: Planet Smash, where you pick a world and erase it one weapon at a time, and Solar System Smash, where you can knock planets out of orbit and crash them into each other like you’re drunk-driving the universe.

And while there’s no story or objective, just you and the cold, uncaring vacuum of space, Solar Smash’s greatest strength is how satisfying it feels to watch a planet crumble in slow motion after being bisected by an antimatter beam. The physics are shockingly legit, even if the frame rate taps out when you throw too many nukes at once.

The downside? There’s not a ton of variety. After you’ve vaporized a few planets, the novelty fades a bit. But for short bursts of sci-fi carnage, it’s perfect.

Just expect the occasional forced ad, unless you cough up $2.99 to make them vanish like a moon hit by a death laser.

Solar Smash is proof that destruction is a form of creativity. And in space, no one can hear your planets scream.
