YoYa Time

YoYa Time: Build, Share & Play is a life-sim meets creativity sandbox game where we get to do exactly what the name says, build homes, design characters, and share our imagination with the world. It’s cute, colorful, and clearly aimed at fans of Toca Boca, Miga Town, and Avatar World. But it also brings its own flavor to the genre.

We start out with three free characters and the option to unlock a fourth using green coins (which you can earn without paying if you’re patient). Character creation is playful, you can give your avatar unicorn horns, rainbow hair, wings, and basically turn them into anything from a pop star to a space wizard.

From there, it’s all about world-building. There are mini houses, salons, burger joints, and even underwater castles. Some templates are cozy one-room setups, while others stretch into multi-level spaces you can swipe through. No elevators here, just swipe up to climb floors. Decorating is optional. If you’re in a rush, tap a pre-built template and you’re good to go.

But the game isn’t perfect. The maps are small and a bit empty. There are no NPCs, which makes even a fully built mini-market feel lonely. And the animations? Let’s just say they’re a little hit-or-miss. Characters sometimes glide instead of walk, and syncing expressions can be a bit wonky.

Still, there’s something charming about watching a mom character pedal a bike or carrying around an adorable baby with clumsy but cute crawling animations. There’s clear attention to detail in the small stuff, like hair clips, themed furniture, and interactive items. You can drag around air conditioners, tables, and mirrors like a digital dollhouse.

YoYa Time monetizes with optional ads for in-game currency and premium content, but most of the basics are available for free. And while it’s still a bit buggy, it’s also bursting with potential.

If you love decorating, storytelling, and casual digital roleplay, YoYa Time is worth a download, just don’t expect a fully populated city… yet.
